Oscar the Feline Empath

      A few years ago I read  a book about this most amazing cat, “Oscar” and his ability to know when death is about to collect a patient in a hospice in Rhode Island. The title, Making Rounds With Oscar, by David Dosa, M.D.

     It seems that Oscar is able to sense, within twenty four hours, when a hospice patient is about to pass over. And the doctor, David Dosa, sets out to try and find out how Oscar comes by this knowledge. In the end, and this won’t ruin the book for anyone, he decides that it is through smell that Oscar comes by this gift, however, this is only his guess.

     After reading the book I am more interested in knowing why Oscar does this then how? Think about the intelligence that must go into this feat of incredible love and understanding being exhibited by a cat, and no disrespect is meant to cats.  As a cat person I do not want to down play what a cat feels, but in this case Oscar sits with each dying patient in his or her last hours of life sharing with them there final hours on earth, and somehow Oscar seems to know and feel empathy for them in advance not wanting them to die alone.

     It just makes me wonder if Oscar might have lived a previous life where there was no one with him who cared about him in the end? And now he has made it his life’s calling to see at least a handful of souls all the way threw the process and perhaps even waits with them until an angel or some other spiritual being comes to take them home?

     I encourage anyone who is an empath, or otherwise, to read this extraordinary story. It is a gift for all to experience!

Oh I fully believe this story of Oscar cos I had a cat of my own who knew something similar...my cat was called Ewok [shes deceased now] who interacted with spirit orbs in my house, I watched the whole process unfold even.... she would be sleeping peacefully in her favourite spot on a cushion on the back of one of my chairs,shed go there every day & yet after a while shed suddenly wake up and be startled & be looking around her like something was there [but there was nothing to be heard or see].... then shed swipe in the mid air, at nothing, but I personally couldn't understand what she was doing, I even took her to the vet thinking she had a neurological disorder & was having a seizure of some kind, only to be told there was nothing wrong with her health wise she was perfectly healthy in all ways perceivable...that was until I took my camera out a took photos of this behaviour on film in sequences of a few seconds OMG... then I could see the spirit orbs clearly she was reacting to..you can also see them below in sequence photos I took:-

Until she would suddenly just woke up instantly in a startled state & started looking around her at nothing....it was sad to see this she was such a beautiful wee cat,tiny frame like a munchkin she was a one year old when this started to happen & yet she was just stressed out badly fro it all...

I tried to reassured her after she was looking around herself looking so very panicked & totally stressing out,poor thing....but she just ignored me totally as If I wasn't there to her,she was so intent on what ever it was she was seeing,she was even looking past me in frount of her.....

So I got out my camera to film this event in photo sequences to show the vet just how she was acting, as I thought she might be having a seizure of some kind, as she was swiping the mid air & hissing & spitting for no reason at all or at anything, it was such strange erratic weird behavour..

Boy was I surprised to then see the spirit orbs that she was swiping at....right there on the film...subsequently the vet put her on a stress spray treatment for anxiety issues and though it calmed her down a bit during the event, it didnt stop her from acting strange on the odd occasion, to which I'd just tell people 'Oh shes seeing a ghost its ok,she'll come right'..I mean what else could I say..it was the truth..
