The Window to Rain

The Window to Rain

Meditation accomplished, body relaxed

I gazed through my bedroom window....

*

The rain ran like tears, collided and cool

Merging, merging, there is no set rule

Gazing through the blind I relaxed even more

We need our windows, to gaze each new door

Splattered, dashed, silky and smooth

traveling down the window, never making a groove

Dandelion clock got caught in the web

fingers of time, tickĀ ticked, never fled

The breeze blew softly

the air moved to cool

travelling, travelling

never breaking to rule

Because perfection comes readily to all

a bud breaks softly nudging the soil

Heartbreak happens, it sometimes seems cruel

but when we're ready, there is no new fool

Happenings, happenings, the fingers that tap

grateful for fingers folded in the lap

Grateful for hearts that beat all day long

while we're tapping and clapping and singing new songs
