Mars and Regulus in early June

Keep watching Mars and Regulus

The planet Mars and star Regulus are only a fist’s width apart now (extend your arm out, with your fist closed). But they’ll be a finger’s width apart by mid-June ... one bright blue-white star and one red planet ... looking like a double star ... very noticeable and beautiful. Keep an eye on them all month! Watch this video for more information. And for more sky events, visit EarthSky’s night sky guide.
