Yes storms seem to be the norm here too Vlada, 3 bad ones here in January, so going out hasn't been a priority in the minus temperatures of frost, snow and rain. Last week was the first day we'd had sunshine all day for months.
Yesterday I did a few experimental paintings to try to get myself back in the mood for painting as it's probably been 2 months since I painted a canvas. The up side of the bad weather has been a catch up of the kitchen, cleaning, tidying, washing off worktops, and shelves. Spring is not long away. Mini daffodils in my planters are about an inch above ground, planted them in two lots, so wondering if they'll bloom together or give me two lots of colour.
Yes I'd read about Maunganui campsite Vlada. Guess your weather like ours has been unpredictable and stormy.
They rescued all the boats which is good, and now they've fenced off the area in order to do the work on the breach. Lots of fish still in the flood water in the field.
I'm sorry to hear that your shoulder hasn't healed, these things make life difficult in all sorts of ways

I'm surprised the banana palms all three of them are even alive to be honest one is left with a single leaf frond,.. they got battered something terrible, but my neighbor said they are used to that treatment in the Islands during cyclone periods and they will bounce back again, but I had a load of branches I had to cut off them.. the amount of water in those branches was amazing they were so heavy all water..Banana plants are just amazing and they grow so easily here with our humid temps...and I'm doing all this mind you with one arm, as I still cant lift my right hand above my head, I had another steroid injection with hydra fluid this time, and its made no difference, the joint is encapsulated now, my sports medicine specialist said that if this steroid injection did nothing then its permanently frozen. I still have use of it to a certain degree just cant do anything above my head, but I've become extremely ambidextrous my left hand is strong.lol..
I feel America is on a downward spiral right now, I cant see it recovering in any hurry from it either, the damage is done, these ICE Immigration Officers have been the tipping point with their murders, and just yesterday I found out that some are imitating ICE Officers and traumatising the people, pulling them over at gun point even, they have arrested a few of them as criminals, WTF Trump hired criminals to be ICE Officers.. Can anyone seriously say the world can be healed of these horrid people upon it, you then have the GAZA criminals and the Israelian protestors being killed by Govt also on mass just terrible how humans can do this to each other, we are such a separated race of people some with horrid mental illness just walking around between us and I'd say are sheer demons.. the whole place is a real mess & fully in chaos.. its no wonder Gaia erupts in volcanic & earth quake activity trying to get rid of these nasties off her back they must be like biting fleas.lol.
Where that breach happened and those fish went into the field, do you think the farmer will let it turn into a natural pond region for fishing in, I can see that it would be rather quint seeing men sitting on stools fishin on it.. how else are they gonna get the fish out of there otherwise? lol..
Politics in the USA is absolutely stuffed seriously every where I go all I see is ether ICE or Trumps ugly mug shot face on my screen, I just cant for the life of me see how the country is even going to recover from him, and these Epstein files he's in them even if they say he did nothing incriminating it still exposed his outright lies when he stated he had broken off his friendship way before he went to prison he was still in contact as early as 2011..now they have added huge bonds for the Polynesians up to $10,000 to enter the country with a visa WTH what Polynesian has that kind of money for starters on top of their air fares & accommodation & spending money,.. he's gonna kill the USA no one will want to be a tourist there anymore.. and thats gonna effect them huge with so much tourist money revenue not being spent.
Ahhh yes one of the guys who flies his drone in that area is also a fisherman, think his name is Keiran, here's his channel Kieran and Lottie Photography....they've made loads of drone flights around the canal since the breach, his friend who flies a drone is RileyRobey.
Kieran had mentioned he'd "fished the field," caught nothing but he did see evidence of fish swimming in the centre of the overspill from the canal. Not sure if the water will naturally filter through the ground or remain. Kieran did say that they couldn't channel the water into the nearby stream as it's contaminated, guess that because there was sheep in the field before, but not sure on that.
There's usually loads of fish at the marina, from tiny silvery ones that love a few breadcrumbs to huge fish about the length of my arm who bask at the edges of the water on hot summer days.
