LOL..cute & cleaver...never really listened to that song fully as its not my kind of song, does my head in really as its got the wrong tones and yet listening on low volume.. its so weird English or is it Latin? 'Omnipotent reigneth???
Latin has quite a history. The most advanced and most latin it was on Roman empire, but this is "degenerated" 17th century latin used in France. They knew very little about it then, latin for use was during time simplified until it was very simple, perhaps even simpler than English.
It took a lot of research that we now have to recover knowledge of ancient latin, that is the most advanced.
Is that what it is Latin..ok I wasn't 100% sure as I dont know Latin..its weird I mean I know what Omnipotent meant higher power or being, but reigneth I wasnt sure of.. does that mean to rein over something? like to prey over it??..I dont find it simple at all, I find it the opposite very confusing..
Hehehe, but you know some words, all European languages are influenced by Latin as it was used everywhere and sometimes people adopted some words, although meaning might have changed.
You surely know words as sinister (latin for left), anima (probably as animation, right?), rhinitis (itis is latin for that kind of sickness), oculus, corpus, magnum, ...
Yeah I admit I do understand there is latin in English, and French also, but some Latin words obviously arnt used in our every day spoken English,so unless you use them you wouldn't know them.. I'd not seen reigneth used before, its not in my daily word speech anyway, cant say I've heard it spoken by anyone over here in NZ to be honest, unless you were in a Church maybe? and I dont attend a church.
Oh you have those Magnum ice creams there also, I love the double gooey caramel ones lol..I pick the chocolate off the outside first lick the caramel then pick the dark chocolate off before the icecream, the things we do as kids do stick into adulthood.
