Did you see New Lives in the Wild?* We were *so* relieved after watching in, as airing approached we had started freaking out! So grateful to the badass director Kate who did such an incredible job at editing what must have been a hundred hours of footage into a coherent 45 minutes that we felt really honestly captured our life. We had such deep and amazing conversation with Ben who was honest and vulnerable... I can imagine him becoming an advocate for self directed learning one day! (Also, how beautiful was the fire circle bit?) There’s 12 hours left to register for Disco - the online course I created for people keen to bring self directed learning into their homes.
Perhaps you’ve dreampt of unschooling but just need a confidence boost, or someone to guide you through your fears or resistance? People reckon it takes one month of deschooling for every year spent in the school system. We usually talk about this in terms of kids- but what about the parents?

Wild Kin Day Two! Morning circles, singing, dancing, night time camp fire and big games of Hunter - all in the forest. The wind has been howling non stop, a strange thing for our usually calm valley. Feeling very grateful that we can retreat into the forest to do everything under the shelter of the trees.
