Yes I could do the bleeding branch look with that with indian ink highlights..

Yes I saw the black lines in fine liner black, the buds are soft and look furry almost, the petals/flowers awash in subtle burgundy tones

Yes they are furry buds, this outer fuzzy shell drops off once the flower has opened fully.. there is another two varieties next to them that are just opening up now, so will take pics of them also and add them here..

Here is the other magnolia tree species out frount its just opening up, I believe its called a plum lilliflora Magnolia,... lily as its got long slender petals not cup shaped like the tulip one..

These are 2x other photos of two other Magnolia trees out frount taken from last season, they arnt open yet this year yet.. but when they are I'll take new ones also.. I saw a beautiful pheasant out on the frount lawn of my neighbour this morning and I didn't have my damn phone on me before he flew off, that would have been an awesome photo..
