<p>Ah, I forgot it is mating season for them however. The reason I found it odd is because I have seen that deer before and it didn't have a care in the world that I was there.</p>

<p><em>Well that's a typical natural reaction of a male deer towards you being seen in it's territory,though it's own fear of you made it back away,you only have to watch a ram to see the same behaviour...things may not have been the same for you if it had been mating season however.. as it may have charged you..seen you as a threat to its stomping grounds & threat to his females..I've seen what part pheromones & a threat play in this mating season and it aint very pretty,you really…</em></p>
