Well, you understand much more than I do in this case. I hear in the song it is done so whatever it is about sounds as present, but also the past, but not future.
Tomorrow 04/04/2020 is the day when we amplify our voice and make our magical wishes for a better future, as a collective of humankind all across the world will be uplifting voices asking for a peaceful, pollution-free, harmonious world. I believe that is the point of Angus’ song. Xoxo

The world as you know it - all that you see, taste, feel and touch, comprises only about 5% of all of the stuff of the universe. The other 95% is what we have considered "nothing" or the "firmament" or dark matter or the heavens or mystic Other Worlds. This 95% is multi-dimensional and consists of potential realities that may be perceived.
