When you want to start occult practice, the first thing along with meditating and focus training you start doing daily first ritual and that's banishing ritual. This ritual is very fast and easy, but as one who has no use of abrahamic religions, all banishing rites were useless for me, who walks with the elves and Valar. So after finding a "blueprint" I designed banishing rite that suits my way. For short I'll say VBR.
Banishing ritual is building and reclaiming your personal space and aligning yourself with powers, that are helping you to achieve this goal. For this version of the rite you need to know the directions (north, east, south, west) of the place where you are, but if you can't figure them out, just trust and don't bother too much.
East is asigned to the element of air and air is rulled by Manwe
South is asigned to the element of fire and fire is rulled by Melkor
West is asigned to the element of water and water is rulled by Ulmo
North is asigned to the element of earth and earth is rulled by Aule
In this ritual two more directions are added, up and down:
Up, the heaven is place of hope and future, the realm of the stars that are rulled by Varda
Down, the underground is place of past and wisdom of the ancestors and is rulled by Námo
Why Melkor rulling the fire?
Well, for light sake, all those tales of SIlmarilion happened thousands of years ago, time moves on. It's about time we forgive and start again with Melkor. I doubt he would survive so long beyond Arda with his life bound to it. Probably vala spend enough time with Eru to understand what was wrong. Let us all make peace instead of oppening old wounds. Can we?
(also it was Melkor, who convinced me to share this rite publicly, so if you like it, thank him.)
Why Manwe on the East?
Arda is round now, so where are evil nalds? On East or on the west? Also if you still aren't convinced, start rite with imagining standing int he middle of Valinor.
Last thing to have prepared ahead:
If you have some sort of sigil of power you love to use, master drawing it in air. Common one is pentagram, that can be drawn on paper in one stroke. You may also use special sigil for each element, along with light and darkness.
For the rite to be effective this is however not necessary at all.
So, let's begin.
Stand up where you have some space around you, facing east. Take few breaths to relax and calm your mind.
Extend your hand and point to the East. Say the name of power of air, Manwe, and imagine light blue energy orb appearing in front of you. Then draw the symbol of power.
Slowly turn to the south, drawing silver line with your finger.
Pointing to the south say the name of power of fire, Melkor, and imagine firely energy orb appearing in front of you. Then draw the symbol of power.
Slowly turn to the west, drawing silver line with your finger.
Pointing to the west say the name of power of water, Ulmo, and imagine deep blue-green energy orb appearing in front of you. Then draw the symbol of power.
Slowly turn to the north, drawing silver line with your finger.
Pointing to the north say the name of power of earth, Aule, and imagine deep green energy orb appearing in front of you. Then draw the symbol of power.
Slowly turn to the east, drawing silver line with your finger.
Slowly raise your hand up, drawing silver line with your finger.
Pointing up say the name of power of light, Varda, and imagine white energy orb appearing in front of you, along with many stars on the sky. Then draw the symbol of power.
Slowly lower your hand down to the west side,(behind you, Ulmo), then lover it down, pointing at the ground right in front of your legs, all the way drawing silver line with your finger.
Pointing down say the name of power of darkness, Námo, and imagine gery energy orb appearing in front of you, along with bones and souls of your ancestors, filled with wisdom guiding you. Then draw the symbol of power.
Slowly raise your hand drawing silver line to the East (In front of you, Manwe) then up to the sky (Varda), then down to the south (Melkor), down to the ground (Námo) and bach up to the north (Aule) and up to the sky again (Varda)
Then put your hand on your heart, being surrounded by energetic protection, through which the enregy and protection of the Valar surrounding you flows.
Now say "Ea!" And draw three deep breaths, inhaling gaining the strength and blessing in, exhaling filling your space by the light shining from you.
After that cross your hands on your chest, this hand pose stops any energy work and ends the rite.
The rite is part of magic training, so it is recommend to do it very often, recommended is doing it four times a day, morning, noon, evening, and before going to bed, or if you don't sleep for whatever reason, then midnight.
Doing it this often alows the mind to do some real practice in sensing spiritual world and is active training your imagination.
If you sense nothing at first, it is completely normal. Mind must be trained to do magic effectively. But even first attempt is the beginning and that counts. But it counts way more if you practice actively as then your ability to do this work will grow.
I don't fear a warrior who practiced thousand moves one time, but I'm deadly scared of warrior, who practiced one move thousand times.

I dont understand... why would one do this with fictional characters of LOTR? for what reason?
No less real than Jesus or some of the angels and people work quite successfully with these fictional characters.
This works too. It definitely works for me. That's the joke of magic. :D
Besides, they are quite real to me, got energy help from 3 of the Valar, got some real help form Melkor, whose existence was also proved to me by guy who never read anything from Tolkien and know nothing of that stuff.
I'm sure your right, people do believe in many less real things that others dont believe in..& also anyone can give a name to entities,I'm just weiry In which case as to how you know that your not inviting these less than real entities persay through the aeither realms to work with.. who then simply just take on the names that you've given them?...
Perhaps the most notable experience with Melkor was when I was on the buss and I got sick. (getting into need to vomit in transportation) and I knew that it is soon cumming, when Melkor appeared and grabbed my neck into hands, that I physically felt and right after that I fell asleep. It took seconds and me fighting that was of no use.
When I woke up, I got confused a little, checked my wallet and phone, both at their places, and my stomach was completely fine. Also in two minutes I was getting off the bus.
BTW, mentioning names of deities, you remind me of Loki, that's funny case nowadays, as he appears in "Hiddleston shape" to more than just a few of his female worshipers. He usually appears as red-hair to pagans, but also in this modern incarnation nowadays. I wonder what would Tom say to that. :D I once saw Loki wearing both those shapes at once, at least that is how it seemed to look. Not sure if he told me or some other one that he is a fan of Hiddleston too.
I dont think Tom Hiddleston would really care, how people saw Loki to him he just played a character of him in a movie.
Don't know, but I bet it would be fun to ask him. Can you imagine anyone's face when you tell them that a god appears to people appearing as them? Hahaha.
Well I'm sure,I'd presume they would just laugh it off..what more could they do its a human condition after all..
Yeah, probably.
The world as you know it - all that you see, taste, feel and touch, comprises only about 5% of all of the stuff of the universe. The other 95% is what we have considered "nothing" or the "firmament" or dark matter or the heavens or mystic Other Worlds. This 95% is multi-dimensional and consists of potential realities that may be perceived.
A single thought...a mere whisper, ...... barely upon a breeze that catches a spark... all is tinder before the firestorm... and yet.
ONLY that whisper
ONLY that thought
the world is forever changed beyond the fears and dreams of cardboard men.
Freedom and change starts within:
It is encouraged by truth and courage of people who love
Built by the respect of true beings standing as one before each other.
Lets us cross every man made borders
without fear stare into eyes and hearts of all our brothers and sisters: within our words without shouting,or force to hold each to our truths; and let us without fear freely share what works...
