Great to see you here. I finally made my way. I'm trying to upload some photos now and might be able to talk a little bit about some of them.
I'm new to this .ning format, so it might take a while to find my way around.

Thank you for writing, I am also SO excited for the Faery Fest but also so happy/ jealous that you get to go to Ireland! First time? Surely not! Im sure you will go to Hill of Tara first! Lucky its so close to Dublin....oh and Book of Kells....Newgrange....Cliffs of Moher.... so many wonderful magical sites!
I was lucky enough to spend a summer working there many moons ago, in a youth hostel in Sligo- it was magical beyond description. I may not have Irish blood but I am an Irish soul thru and thru- have always loved the mythology, history, mystery, Fae, etc....of the Irish/Celts. Leading up to that I was also lucky enough to spend a college term in Bretagne region of France, where they speak the gaelic language Breton. Amazing, truly. I was in Celtic/Gaelic heaven for that whole period!
BTW- I am an Oregon native but now live in Florida- but I miss Portland and REALLY miss Ireland! I travel there vicariously thru books like yours...so thank you again!
The Faeries often travel through this thick third dimension as the infamous orb that our digital cameras are now capturing. Although many of these orbs are dust, vapor and dew, many others are living entities that use this shape to cut through the veil and travel about with the least resistance thus using the lesser amount of energy. My second encounter with these wondrous beings was nothing I had ever expected much less, thought about. September 18, 2002 at 7:00 am brought an awaking that stays with me to this very day. I woke from a solid dream and sat upright to witness a few nickel, dime and quarter size transparent orbs floating about in my 12x15 sunrise drenched bedroom. As I came to realize my dream state had ended I also understood this apparition was indeed real.
As my mind made note of this presence I equated the happening to the old Lawrence Welk Show of ancient history. The room filled with these orbs making it difficult to see any free air space. I fully expected to feel wetness from these soap-like orbs as they popped but neither happened, no moisture and no bubbles bursting. I extended my hand and two quarter sized bubbles approached, gliding in harmony to the tips of my middle and index fingers. They attached themselves much like the shuttle to the space station but without the clunk of metal. At this moment I felt a peace, a knowing and a little laughter. I knew at this moment that I had connected with a living intelligence, of what origin I did not know but I was about to find out.
At wake I would still see dream like characters, cartoons and ghostly figures of horses, cattle and goats. Some mornings would be filled with my own laughter and others in awe. I could not grasp reality during these times but it became a point where I did not care about the mundane, I just wanted more of whatever it was I was experiencing. At wake I would still see dream like characters, cartoons and ghostly figures of horses, cattle and goats. The "Duke", John Wayne paid me a visit one autumn morn. After four or five weeks of "story telling material" mornings and trying to discern the truth from dreams I sought answers. My waking hours delivered me to a small new age store where I met a very interesting person. He was every bit interesting, taller than myself by a little, which really doesn't take much height, thin, balding and somewhat gay. I felt kind of out of place standing in front of him at this time, but somehow I knew he was the key to all of my questions at this particular juncture in time.
I rambled about my new life for what seemed like an hour but in real time probably ten full minutes. With a light smile a gleam in his eye he says, “Ron, you have Faeries”. Drawing in on my breath I felt my stomach muscles contract. “Faeries”, I thought to myself. You silly son-of-a-………… I drew down another breath and awaited his sentence to finish out. He went on to explain about those of the far dimension that surrounded me and have gone unseen since my childhood. Now I recalled a vicious Mother you hit and called me names and stupid. I then came to mind an uncle that sexually abused me when I was two or three. But, somehow I never summoned up in mind a remembrance of Faeries. “Yes, Ron Faeries”. They appreciate those gifts of flowers and sweets they you might think about giving them. They will not eat these sweets but they will extract the nutrients and vitamins that they need to sustain themselves in this place of thick energy.
My Thanks to you for starting this group...I found it reading a bit about Danu and Tuatha de Danann...She's been my patron Goddess for many years...I couldn't believe it...most have never heard of her...shame.
Many Blessings, Az

Thank you. I am glad you like the photos, we had a wonderful time on vacation! I especially like the one of the lichen/moss on the tree, I could see someone in the lichen!
Estonia... i created a picture story about the groves. it's short, but it says a lot.
in general, Estonia is a Finno-Ugric country/people, our history on our location goes back thousands of years and so do our songs. the old ones are called runo songs, with 8-metric kinda magical rhythm. And one other finno-ugric tribe/people was the Karelians, who are now mixed with Finnish mostly but their language is quite close to Estonian, so I can understand about half what their songs are about... the same runo-type songs. I've heard that Karelian language inspired master Tolkien to create his elven tongue. My foreign friends say Estonian sounds like elven too :)
Thank you! What you see on the website is just a small sampling of them. At last count, there were over 250.
I may be at the Fairy Festival but I didn't get a booth, maybe next year. I look forward to spending some time looking around the site. I found this site from a twitter post. Talk to you soon.
