That's cool thanks I'll give it a go Vlada. I've used it my skin up til now so will probably need a new fresh bottle but it should be ok on the plant.

Is it the water soluble oil kind, if so put it in a spray bottle with water and shake it up then spray it on..thats what I do with mine, it also acts like a tonic for the plant as well..

I have neem oil, the thick brown gungy stuff so perhaps try that out first before I buy anything.

YUP thats why then,sadly if they are way out of control and you wish them gone you need 'Ant sand' to get rid of them fully,you put it close to their own nest area & they take the granules back into their nests and it kills the whole nest..your bound to have a alternative brand of it in the UK and you also need 'Neem Natural Organic Pesticide' its plant based to get rid of the Aphids..

When you say green flies are you actually meaning aphids by any chance?, as ants will protect aphids on a plant as the aphids give them a honey jew feed in return..so they actually milk them..

I spotted lots of ants yesterday on my climbing rose, they especially climb up to the greenflies as that particular rose seems to have a lot this year.

Multi Dimensional Reality
