Mine had started to break down and no look so clear due to cloud formations,but it was huge before the cloud came rolling in yes..certainly is a cool sky phenomena,not many have witnessed..those in really cold countries like say Norway or Sweden mountain regions would see them more often..

Your picture of what is termed as a halo around the sun it can happen also when you get sundogs,where  you see 2-3 suns its a phenomena due to upper atmosphere coldweather..I caught one a year ago they are a rare phenomena though..

Yes, exactly so, and the colors quite fit, if you imagine fifth and sixth chacras bledned in rainbow... Heheh, it is fascinating.
