Feywood - otherkin gathering in Washington, July 21-24

(I thought I had made a post about this already, but I guess not! At least, I couldn't find that I did. If this is a duplicate I do apologize!)

This event is a gathering for otherkin, that is, those who feel themselves to be elven/faery/sidhe/whatever souls rather than human (including many other kinds of beings). It will take place on Thursday-Sunday, July 21st-24th at a site in southwestern Washington state, about an hour and a half from Portland and just a tad further from Seattle. Mostly the accomodations are a shared indoor bunkspace, but you can also pitch a tent on the grounds. There is no meal plan, so each person must plan to provide his/her own meals (groceries are available locally); this site has a kitchen with stove and refrigerator. The site fee is $36/person for the whole weekend. (Not for profit, just to help recoup the reservation fee paid to the park.)

So far we are up to about ten people. I would love be able to attract about double that, because having "critical mass" makes things more fun for everyone! The schedule is filling out a bit, but there's definitely still space for anyone who is interested in presenting something to give a workshop, lead a discussion, do a ritual, etc.

For more details, please see the website. There is also a mailing list you can join if you want to try to coordinate travel or equipment borrowing with anyone else who is attending.

@ T.E. Pelton: This was last year, though... I did not organize another one this year. It's not July 2013... it was July 2011. Just want to be clear. The website exists for historical purposes (in case anyone wants to see what went on) but I don't have any plans to do another event up in Washington soon. (MythiCalia down in California is still on this year.)

Yikes! Sorry, Arethinn. Been doing a lot of writing and editing. Feeling rather loopy.

If you check the date, you'll see that it hasn't happened yet :)

Did the event go well?

Multi Dimensional Reality

The world as you know it - all that you see, taste, feel and touch, comprises only about 5% of all of the stuff of the universe. The other 95% is what we have considered "nothing" or the "firmament"  or dark matter or the heavens or mystic Other Worlds. This 95% is multi-dimensional and consists of potential realities that may be perceived.

A single thought...a mere whisper, ...... barely upon a breeze that catches a spark... all is tinder before the firestorm... and yet.
ONLY that whisper
ONLY that thought
the world is forever changed beyond the fears and dreams of cardboard men.
Freedom and change starts within:
It is encouraged by truth and courage of people who love
Built by the respect of true beings standing as one before each other.
Lets us cross every man made borders
without fear stare into eyes and hearts of all our brothers and sisters: within our words without shouting,or force to hold each to our truths; and let us without fear freely share what works...
