Head towards the ocean
head forwards, towards the calm ocean
your blue eyes see in ultimate devotion
on the belly of man your hands are laid
in turquoise tokens you break enslaved
your body lies on the softest of beds
sands of culture they moved, they bled
the maze you see is on your shoulders
traced in ink, you click, you think
white skins they hear your cry, your shout
your mouth it emits the smallest reprieve
but we hear you loudly across believed
the wave of fancy appears on your brow
the rain of the forest, is right here, right now
wreckage it lays upon the white dunes
a legacy of prophecy, not a moment too soon
swiftly, silent breakers coat a sky blue sea
I await a signal, one, two, maybe three
circles of waves, across snowscaped sand
vibrating harmonics across all of the land

Oh cool, yes another favourite of mine Vlada.
Well thats truth..yes Rumi was a very wise man,but then so was the Lebanese well known poet & philosopher I really loved reading when at Uni was Kahlil Gibran who also inspired me when I read 'The Prophet'..he was also a great artist too..he inspired so many great artists including John F. Kennedy, Indira Gandhi, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, and David Bowie...I loved his poems 'The Children','Pain' & 'A tear & a smile'..
I love adding music to them all...I think one has to have been a poet in past life to bring them forth into this one..I even had my poems compared to the likes of Rumi,Thoth & Jim Morrison years ago on Writers Network,so off I went to source their stuff out to see why they thought that, and I had to admit their writings were similar to some of mine, I think more that some were based on similar specific topics though, but not all of them but I was inspired to do more from reading theirs..
I just hope messages embedded in them to bring forth get through,..why else would they come back into my consciousness if they were going to be doing no good for anyone..
a soul family member I'm extremely close to said one day,... that maybe after I'm gone my words will be remembered moreso... cos thats how most poets & artists get famous when they die,so I'd better publish them now & get them out there not that she wanted me to die hahhaha..she was joking, twas her Scottish humor coming through..
Yes I've written poems with music as the catalyst Vlada, particularly music without vocals. Yes poetry, according to the past life horoscope has been with me throughout my being. Pieces of art also seem to stimulate my writing. We had a group on the poetry showcase Ning site where we all used art to stimulate poetry. Yes, one of my friends left a poem on my Anewgaia profile page and I though oooh that's a cool poem, I hadn't remembered I'd written it because I seem to go somewhere else. Maybe there's a place of stored poetry within me and I pick something out for the occasion, it's fun to write and make word pictures.
Good point self moves aside for something more, well thats how the higher self comes through, when I write mine I do it while within music and if the music isnt right I look at whats come out and its crap, its rigid or cold,... but if the music is good with the right frequencies in it,then it flows out like pouring liquid from a bottle the words are but energy after all..and I too look at whats written and think geepers did I write that, woah that's rather deep stuff..Oh and I once got asked if I recall being a poet in other life times, which I know I was,so poetry & literature has been within my soul spaces for eons..
Yes both ways bring this higher aspect of self through Vlada... sometimes I look at my poems and wonder if I actually wrote them, it's like self moves aside for something more or that shields are removed so we see more clearly through our poetry
Where as I'm the opposite I cant write in rhyme verse, cos I write from my own higher-self aspect, thus limerick/rhyme isnt anywhere to be seen...yet I do find I speak with words I wouldn't normally use in my every day conversation too,its all from a higher realm and inspired by Rumi...but they still flow, sometimes I get small phrases just pop into my head and I have to write them on any bit of paper I can find,as they are just so good it would be a shame to loose them...then I put these all together to form poetry pieces around the phrase.
Ahhh I've written quite a few like this Vlada, thanks
What I've noticed over the years though is that when I write through rhyme and verse inspirations of a new kind come to me, especially different words that I wouldn't normally use and even insights on something that I wouldn't know about had I not written in verse
I like this one..it kinda tells a story but not in a limerick way..it has more of a flow to it..
The world as you know it - all that you see, taste, feel and touch, comprises only about 5% of all of the stuff of the universe. The other 95% is what we have considered "nothing" or the "firmament" or dark matter or the heavens or mystic Other Worlds. This 95% is multi-dimensional and consists of potential realities that may be perceived.
A single thought...a mere whisper, ...... barely upon a breeze that catches a spark... all is tinder before the firestorm... and yet.
ONLY that whisper
ONLY that thought
the world is forever changed beyond the fears and dreams of cardboard men.
Freedom and change starts within:
It is encouraged by truth and courage of people who love
Built by the respect of true beings standing as one before each other.
Lets us cross every man made borders
without fear stare into eyes and hearts of all our brothers and sisters: within our words without shouting,or force to hold each to our truths; and let us without fear freely share what works...
