Shining Hearth presenter signups ongoing

Presenter signups for Shining Hearth are still open at https://forms.gle/V3hYJnos9NLBNM8Y6. Honestly, we're really hoping there are people out there still brooding over their ideas, because so far we have zero form submissions (although we have received a few emails and other messages from people discussing ideas).

Maybe you're thinking "OMG, no way could I do that. I have no ideas and no one would want to listen to me anyway." Our advice? It's not speech class. Try to think of it as a chat with some friends at a party. Anything that could be of interest to the elven-faerie sphere that you can ramble about for around 45-50 minutes will probably work. No PowerPoint required! (Although if you do one of those parody things with Comic Sans we'll be highly amused)

 

If you are open to the idea of presenting in a group but don't already have any partners ... There's a place to indicate that on the signup form, and we have a #looking-for-group channel on the server where you can suggest your idea!

 

If you want to help out with a presentation but you can't think of a topic yet ... don't worry, just skip the question that asks for the presentation title/description and submit the form anyway. We have a #planning channel on the server where you can toss ideas around.

Presenter signups are officially closed, but unofficially we're going to let the form keep accepting responses for a while. There are some folks outstanding (pun intended?) who previously demonstrated interest in presenting whom we're still hoping to press-gang nudge into presenting something. So far there are enough submissions to either fill Saturday plus one each on Friday and Sunday, or to do a pretty relaxed schedule across all three days; but if we could scare up another three or four volunteers it would feel more fleshed-out!
