Friendship seems very elusive to me. I am not sure why.  What are your thoughts about friendships?

lots of different sorts of friendships Tara, area/location friendships and online friendships, shared interest friendships

This is what I think: We are living in a world with many distractions. It seems to me that no one cares about others anymore.horid as that sounds I see it, even seeing people smile to each other is none existent.. Relationships are just replaceable. Connection is nothing but a tool as you put on your smiley mask at work/school or even at home if you're living surrounded by unpleasant people.

As it is fake to you, it drains you, and you end up not looking into 'real friendship' anymore. Finding quality friends who have similar values and share similar interests is really challenging,  I found that my more sport orientated & healthy friends have their own lives, always centred around their sport, our friendship is important but not everything. So it’s important to have many friends with different life styles & circumstances. No one friend can meet all of ones friendship needs. I also feel the term “best friend” is a childish concept- moreso as I love each of my friends for their unique qualities, I don’t need to play favorites. I might be closer to one or two friends at a certain point in time, but that can change too, ... maintaining friendships is the difficult part. That's why we stick with those we've known for a long time in my case I have one that I've had since school, because they can accept absences due to life things for a long time and then reconnection again easy and nothings any different.. Josh can be away out at sea for his job for months at a time and it makes no difference to our friendship, in fact I look forward to seeing him when he does come back, as he has so much to share & talk about one never gets bored. Where as my mates closer to home, they only visit for short time spans and they appear to have nothing much to talk about... and or they are secretive and non sharing.. its weird..

"No one friend can meet all of ones friendship needs."....I'd agree Vlada

One of my closest relationships/friendships is my cousin, another one is a friend who lives nearby.  Friendships online seem to come and go.  Many people that I made close bonds with online are now in spirit.

What seems to occur for me is I become closest to the people who are spiritual/artistic and have an enquiring mind who don't just accept the status quo but carve their own path/way of being.

Multi Dimensional Reality

The world as you know it - all that you see, taste, feel and touch, comprises only about 5% of all of the stuff of the universe. The other 95% is what we have considered "nothing" or the "firmament"  or dark matter or the heavens or mystic Other Worlds. This 95% is multi-dimensional and consists of potential realities that may be perceived.

A single thought...a mere whisper, ...... barely upon a breeze that catches a spark... all is tinder before the firestorm... and yet.
ONLY that whisper
ONLY that thought
the world is forever changed beyond the fears and dreams of cardboard men.
Freedom and change starts within:
It is encouraged by truth and courage of people who love
Built by the respect of true beings standing as one before each other.
Lets us cross every man made borders
without fear stare into eyes and hearts of all our brothers and sisters: within our words without shouting,or force to hold each to our truths; and let us without fear freely share what works...

Breathe In The Divine Pulse Of The Stars By Terra Lea

Breathe In The Divine Pulse Of The Stars By Terra Lea Dear friends, I have noticed conversations getting deeper with friends and loved ones as we navigate these times. Maybe you have too. Worry, fear, anger— all present. As we gather to ask questions of how to be in these times, it helps to remember the words of the ancients who also navigated seeming impossible…See More
