the marina put in low wired electric fences to stop the geese, it was getting geese overload, folks couldn't walk the paths without stepping into fresh goose poop, and when the goslings were born and the geese turned aggressive you only had to look at them and they hissed
Yes..and I read they introduce geese & swans to lakes there for the picturesque side of tourism too...and if they go un-checked they get over populated and cause issues..sad as it is these controls are set up for a good reason,I hope they hatch them elsewhere and re-introduce them into the wild where they dont cause a problem..
That probably happens here too Vlada....I know they've in the past taken goose eggs from the island at the marina to take down the population. The grey lag geese are very hissy and territorial even if you walk down the path when they've got young ones. There haven't been as many ducks about this year, although I know they're on the canal on on the nearby Nantwich lake
Its duck hunting season over here, every morning I hear them shooting,so sad, but has to be done or they get out of hand otherwise and destroy the lakes eco systems & they actually help to create avian botulism..
ahhh yes stunning and I loved watching them sail past, they may have done a circuit around the island.
Ahh how adorable is that dude.. cute..yellow eyes..
Had a good couple of days off, just got back...ducks, I love them. Geese, I love them, Greater Crested Grebe I love them, Oyster Catchers..I love them. Cormorant was there on his log the first day but didn't see him today. Saw lots of little fishes on the edges of the water, think they were soaking up the sun. Huge carp were sunbathing too, lots of them. Saw a new variety of ducks, not quite sure what they were, should have got my binoculars out.
Sounds like your on the edge of nature in your garden also..love the blue tits, I painted one recently but it was from a photos from Google not in my garden, we dont have them here,,we do have the wee gold finch & yellow finch & the wax eyes, which I also painted..Yes you start looking around the leaves of trees and see if you can see what I filmed below,it certainly is a weird thing, glad I finally got to film it to prove what I was seeing for others to see it too..
i was concentrating so hard so i kept blinking on first viewing
The world as you know it - all that you see, taste, feel and touch, comprises only about 5% of all of the stuff of the universe. The other 95% is what we have considered "nothing" or the "firmament" or dark matter or the heavens or mystic Other Worlds. This 95% is multi-dimensional and consists of potential realities that may be perceived.
A single thought...a mere whisper, ...... barely upon a breeze that catches a spark... all is tinder before the firestorm... and yet.
ONLY that whisper
ONLY that thought
the world is forever changed beyond the fears and dreams of cardboard men.
Freedom and change starts within:
It is encouraged by truth and courage of people who love
Built by the respect of true beings standing as one before each other.
Lets us cross every man made borders
without fear stare into eyes and hearts of all our brothers and sisters: within our words without shouting,or force to hold each to our truths; and let us without fear freely share what works...
