Hello friends,
Well, I am feeling somewhat tired, and I have to say it did take it out of me this weekend. But boy, was it worth it!!!
There was nothing more magical, more special, more that I could have wanted for our wedding. It was perfect! ^_^
Just as I left my parent's house, with my father the sun dipped behind some clouds and it started to rain slightly, and by the time we got to the botanical gardens where the ceremony was being held it had become pretty heavy… Continue

Sparkles from The Green Faery

My dear fae~friend, Kayleigh, went to Tokyo, Japan earlier this year.
In fact it was partly Kay that came up with the Faery names for us...She is the sparkly green faery and I am the sparkly purple faery ~ as they are our favourite colours and we both love all things faery/mystical/magickal/elven/mythical.
If there is one person I will miss most on Sunday (the wedding) it will be Kayleigh. But I had a package from Tokyo at the weekend and it was full of love, faerydust and… Continue

So it's only the one at the moment...but at least that's one down and only one to go!!!
Well technically it's three down and one to go! I'm afraid being a typical faery I got distracted by all the beautiful sparkly things and so couldn't make my mind up. So I ordered 3 rings and am now currently sat with all 3, trying them on and then changing them around and seeing which one I like most with my engagement ring....LMAO!
I hope this means Chris's ring will be available soon… Continue

Silk paintings...

So...I was getting more than a little frustrated with myself yesterday.
I had a great idea some months ago, to make myself and my bridesmaid (my sister) a pashmina/shawl made from very fine silk, which I was intending to handpaint with some butterfly designs and then sew on silk flowers and embellish them with small sequins and beads.
I designed them and they looked great, fairly simplistic on paper and compared to things I have designed and made in the past VERY… Continue

So, we've finally ordered our wedding rings ^_^ YAY!
Phew...I was starting to get a bit worried about them, but I've been assured they should be with us soon.
I've made a start on a few other bits and pieces that need doing before the big day - just the last little finishing touches really, which is good as I am having a bad flare at the moment, so I am having to take things slowly and very gently.
