Soul Journeys in the Multiverse, Modern Mythology

Theoretical Soul Retrieval of the Druids

I happened upon a book called Soul Retrieval by Sandra Ingerman at a magical store called Second and Charles. I have been interested in Soul Retrieval for a long time but didnt even know where to get started with it, so this book is quite a gem.

It turns out that a lot of the implements to perform a soul retrieval were part of the ancient celts repertoire.

The bodhran is a perfect example. It is very similar to the drums that cultures that practiced soul retrieval used.

The druids also had a medicine [crane] bag, where they could have stored items used for the soul retrieval ritual.

They would have had guardians and helpful spirits to aid them on their journeys.

The only thing I have never heard of the celts having is a soul catcher, but crystals can be used for that as well.

Im curious about nonordinary reality and the shamans that use ecstasy to reach it.

:-) I agree. I think that there was much more that what is saved for us by romans and christians... They refused to write down some things for sure...

well it isnt known about in any documents that Im aware of, I was just thinking maybe they had something like soul retrieval considering they have the same tools and they were an animistic culture, verging on, if not, shaman. A lot of shamanic cultures had similar outlooks on the nature of reality, why not the Celts, who were also animists?

Something like that is being done by shamans.

Very interesting, do they call it soul retrieval in Celtic and other cultures too?

There are good books about Shamans, but I'm glad to hear that there is actually quite a lot written about Celts.

Multi Dimensional Reality

The world as you know it - all that you see, taste, feel and touch, comprises only about 5% of all of the stuff of the universe. The other 95% is what we have considered "nothing" or the "firmament"  or dark matter or the heavens or mystic Other Worlds. This 95% is multi-dimensional and consists of potential realities that may be perceived.

A single thought...a mere whisper, ...... barely upon a breeze that catches a spark... all is tinder before the firestorm... and yet.
ONLY that whisper
ONLY that thought
the world is forever changed beyond the fears and dreams of cardboard men.
Freedom and change starts within:
It is encouraged by truth and courage of people who love
Built by the respect of true beings standing as one before each other.
Lets us cross every man made borders
without fear stare into eyes and hearts of all our brothers and sisters: within our words without shouting,or force to hold each to our truths; and let us without fear freely share what works...
