Well you have the same speed limit as us actually, 62miles and hour is 100klms to us on open road..50klms [31mls] in towns & streets,and 30klms[18mls] around schools..all set in the hope to keep people safe I believe..cars these days though the speedo goes way over our road speeds,the reason:

First and foremost, speedometers in most vehicles are designed to overestimate the speed of travel. International law has long required modern cars to overstate true speed.

but its still required on your speedometer when its not governed, lets say if your was on a racetrack for example, where there is no road speed restrictions..

Yes the desert road in NZ is long and boring if you've already seen Mt Ruapehu, if not its intriguing, its kinda like another world on there,e.g plants are different,wildlife the whole area has its own eco system too,when you get out of your car and take the time to look,I have a blown up photo of a area of the desert road, its amazing, it looks like a massive jungle with a waterfall, but its all zoomed in & thus in miniature, very pretty colours ...I used my sisters camera with a zoom lens,she has all the latest stuff, but I also wanted to enter it in a photo competition,to see how many people could see that it was a miniature..and as there was a prize of winning your own new expensive camera with a huge zoom lens.. it was a expensive prize... but it was way too time consuming to enter it, way too restricting, I gave up, couldn't be bothered with all the rigmarole ..cos I also had to be there while it was being judged,which meant I had to travel to Taupo more than once and thus that meant taking time off work costing me more money,staying overnight as well costing me accommodation hotel costs in a tourist area way expensive...plus I had to set up the whole thing for display during the day to be judged...so I flagged it & just got it blown up and framed in a huge Totara frame,for my wall...I will try and photograph it to share,hard when its behind glass,you get reflections from the windows...but that place has totally different coloured plants,bushes,tussock like grasses,sands,rocks etc volcanic area see some of it below....

had to look that one up about 62 miles per hour over here Vlada, I've always wondered why those speedos on our cars go up so high when there's so many restrictions on how fast we can all travel.  Even our main roads/motorways are restricted by not only speed but lots of traffic lights, roundabouts, roadworks and not to mention accidents.  I can only dream of roads like this Vlada, maybe I'll meditate that I'm driving unrestricted on a road like this to the beat of a drum.  A few years ago I got a CD called Driven by the 70's, never did play it in the car

Yeah like on a long road like the desert road outside Taupo that goes for ages over the central plateau past Mt Ruapehu south bound,..but you can still only drive 100Klms on the open roads over here, still thats fast enough anyway to safely get to your destination...so this would be great music to take you forth on a journey like that..

Yes I see what you mean...flat out driving with foot down...here not many roads like that, there are 20 mile per hour signs, everything that was 40 mph is now 30...would be great just to put your foot down and drive.  I used to feel like that after drum group, that I could drive forever

This video surprised me,thought it was going to be something totally different,but it changed frequencies, tis a song for driving in the car for me..
