Meetings and Gatherings

What do you see when you look back in time

all the meetings and gatherings seem hard to define

There are perhaps memories that we'd all prefer to forget

those times when difficulties led to regret

But it's in those times when things become unwound

all the new observations defy even sound

In this lifetime we all come to learn

every single nuance, even those hard to discern

In writing and reading, we feeling what we need

to unfurl the petals of each flower offering seed

There's movement within, take a moment, recall

all the love strands of years await to enthral

So embrace each new day

whether sunny or cold

As remembrance offers

new loves for old
