Sun Says

 

Sun says "look"

see me, I'm just behind the rock

illuminating lines of white ghost trees

painted portraits to feast the eyes

with honey coloured hues, sweetness, butterflies

Skies of thunder throw shadows all around me

while daffodils dance beneath grey dragon walls

walls that climb hills where sheep graze

heads bent, suckling on tender grasses

how can earth be so beautiful, yet so destructive

how can the wind howl so viciously

when the water plays so prettily

 

Springtime uplifts me into green heaven

while summer merges me into her mellow bosom

autumn plays hide and seek with my senses

but winter, she raises her spirit

releasing her vow of completion inside me

 

Bright dots of bold flowers

on green tinged moorland

offer succour to chestnut ponies

who lift their heads, nostrils twitching

tongues licking lazily tasty scents from warm breezes

 

 

This wonder makes me weep

how can the mountains be so magnificent

when so many suffer

bright star inside

make magic with me

 

Always, always allow my gift to open me

to see with eyes that have compassion

to speak with lips that allow love to escape

to hear the message sent from my ancestors

allow me to feel as a child feels inside their heart

always, always allow me to feel

 

Wind patterns wriggle on beaches

I listen for the seagulls call

they reward me with raucous voices

earth times mention the flood

let earth be at peace

 

Hear my prayer grandfather spirit

 

I watch, I wait, I listen, I feel

I see more, more than perhaps I ought to see

even out ocean's footsteps, so that all will be in balance

orange crabs dart sideways as gulls swoop relentlessly

all life needs food

make a chain and dance

I so wanted to put the video below on autoplay but then thought what if she dosnt like the song or the band even lol.. seriously though they are the shizz, his lyrics are unreal he lifts so many people around the world with them & has done for years..and I found it a fitting song to your poetic prose here, it fits perfectly..Children of the Sun for sure..
