Loving the Earth

Earthen landscape
painted in elemental energy
cycles of belonging
seasons changing
patterns of healing
change, always change
rest beloved
you have earned your “bounty”
you are one with the earth
forests bless your heaven
grey wolf comes in your dreams
with wisdom teachings
birds call their visions upon your brow
creatures of the forest stop to greet you
follow the road and be at one
the mist will rise and melt each darkened thought
the earth will repair and be whole once more
bright meadow flowers
play in your heart
feel now, the vast landscapes
hear the soft reed of the flute calling
observe the rays of the sun
falling like shadows down on earth's rich soil
the corn ripens in the fields of summer
the animals graze on lush pastures
the earth will smile again
just know this in your heart
heaven is open to you
fading now are the plights of mankind
dream space opens all around
like a soft cape of reverence
we are held in safe, strong, loving arms
the sea calms and holds sway
the eagle flies her glory
the child is the innocent receiver of tomorrow
know this child and hold her in grace
feel your joyful heart echo the murmur of loving
sail once more in the ship of knowing
gentle and so blessed
empowered and
whole
