Hello Tyler, welcome. To answer your question, what it means to be Elven in these times, is, as you say, to be connected to nature, and moreover to focus on the natural world asa practice for developing magical abilities including tele-perception, tele-communication and ability to see through the veil of the 3rd dimension to dimensions beyond, including the dimensions where all nature life is passionately alive. It may interest you to know that Elven is in the Druidic tradition, which is taught not through words, but through development of these abilities, and telepathically. When we are learning to listen to the communications from nature, we are practicing. When we are learning to differentiate between "normal" human 3D perceptions compared to a more expansive perception (multidimensionally) we are practicing. If you have perceived that trees and plants and animals communicate with you directly. You are correct, they do and this is a long tradition of understanding for many, many thousands of years here on Earth. As you might imagine, we serve to protect - to be a steward for the environment. We seek to live with the lightest possible footprint among our fellows on Earth and we consider that all life is of equal value. Humans have the ego to consider they are above or better than others because of the mental capabilities and language.  And yet, this is only opinion, no one can say it is true. Moreover, mental abilities are only one tiny ability, the real wisdom and knowledge resides in the heart or man, the sap f the tree and the flight of the bird. No one can say that the tree is lesser than the man. Its astounding to consider, at least in my view, that a person would have an ego so great to consider himself of more value than the wolf, the otter or the eagle. And so , as you come to learn in the Elven tradition, your certainty of your native abilities to see, perceive and communicate on more levels including those vibrational levels of animals and plant life, will increase. Many describe this as the "veil is lifting." And so it is. You are not alone in what you see, you are very understood here. Welcome!
